Welcome! We believe that a diverse campus is one of the most important things we offer our students. At U.Va., diversity allows people to come together in mutual respect to share ideas and learn from one another. When that happens, we believe that everyone on campus benefits, and we believe that students leave the University with a richer and expanded view of the world around them.
But diversity means more than just welcoming students with many different backgrounds. It means making sure that all students feel at home at U.Va. and that they all have the same opportunities once they are enrolled at the University.
As you begin to evaluate colleges, please feel free to contact the Outreach Office. We will be more than happy to answer your questions about U.Va. and college admission. We know you have many important decisions to make about your future, and want to be as helpful as possible. The best of luck to you this year and we look forward to being in contact with you.
Visit the VAAN website if you are interested in talking to a U.Va. graduate in the Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City or Philadelphia areas.
The University of Virginia maintains a strong relationship with churches; community action agencies; pre-college programs; and civil, social, and fraternal organizations. We work with students and families affiliated with these organizations to provide information on the University of Virginia, how to choose a college, financial aid resources and tips on the college application process. Our ABCs of the College Search Process is a first stop for those about to embark on the college visit process.
We encourage your organization to schedule a visit by submitting the Group Visit Request Form. Middle school groups are welcome.
